Napie Hassan

Mohammad Hanaffi Bin Hassan, known professionally as Napie Hassan, is a Malaysian guitarist with a rich musical journey that began at the age of 12 when he first picked up the guitar. Hailing from Batu Pahat, Johor, he delved into band performances by the age of 14, laying the foundation for his passion.

An alumnus of Aswara (National Arts Culture and Heritage Academy) in 2014, Napie has been an active sessionist since 2013 and officially joined Kristal X as a guitarist in 2019. His prowess as a guitarist has led him to collaborate with various Malaysian artists, participating in concerts and tours across Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, Penang, Sabah, and more.

Napie's extensive experience includes accompanying renowned Malaysian singer Dato’ Sri Siti Nurhaliza in the "A Night To Remember" concert in Persada Johor Bharu. He has also been part of concerts like "Konsert Semangat Zaman," featuring legendary Malaysian rock artists. Additionally, Napie has collaborated with a diverse range of artists, including Ziana Zain, Siti Nordiana, Noraniza Idris, and many others.

Apart from live performances, Napie has made appearances on various TV programs such as AIM 2016, Tiada Lama Tiada Baru, Konsert Minggu Ini, All Together Now (season 1 & 2), Hotspot (season 1 & 2), Senang Terhibur (season 1 & 2), Terpaling Juara 2022, and Lagu Cinta Kita 2. He has also been featured in episodes of Mentor, Big Stage, and Gegar Vaganza. Napie has collaborated with notable Malaysian music directors like Dato Ramli MS, Dato Acis, Aubrey Suwito, and others.

As a songwriter, Napie Hassan is associated with Faithful Music, and his compositions include songs like "Jalan" (ALMANNA), "Milik" (Irfan Haris), among others. His musical versatility and collaboration with various artists showcase his commitment to the Malaysian music scene.
