Leonard Theng

Leonard is an accomplished singer, musician and songwriter who played his first gig when his was just 14 years old. He is no stranger to the music industry where he has performed in countless events and concerts in Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Cambodia, Australia, Dubai and China. 

Another highlight is having performed to an audience of more than 20'000 people at the AMC Live "Rock On" music festival 2013 in Chengdu. Here he shared the stage with top Taiwanese, Hong Kong acts like "Wu Bai", "Beyond" and international artist, the band "Suede" from the UK. Following that, Leonard also opened for one of the hottest bands out of Taiwan, "Soda Green" in 2014 in Chengdu, China. 

Leonard has released 2 singles, "Rockability" and "Watching Over You". "Rockability" went to No.1 in the Malaysian Rock charts on ReverbNation. "Watching Over You" is currently receiving playtime on both local and international radio stations, Versatile in his vocal style with a distinct and power stage presence, Leonard is one whose main objective is to always leave the audience wanting more!

One of the major highlights this year is the musical concert "Stories from a Mixtape" which was the brainchild of Leonard Theng. The story revolves around a young man named "Jon", who deals with teenage love while growing up in the 1980s. The entire monologs and story scripts where written by Leonard Theng, acted out by a well known Malaysian actor. Leonard Theng carefully essembled a star studded Malaysian band and selected the music repertoire for the show. Leonard Theng was the show's producer, musical director and the singer, which was performed in front of a sold out crowd on the 3rd August 2018 at the Quill Convention Centre and 13 October 2018 at Drum Asia Live, KK. Latest performance of the was at Alexis Bistro Ampang 5th & 6th July 2019.
