Shüe Guitars & FRIM

The highest quality & most exotic timbres from Malaysia's biggest wood library.

At Shue Guitars, we utilize sustainable tropical tonewoods alongside traditional tonewoods favored by renowned guitar brands worldwide. Our strong relationships with Malaysian timber traders and forestry authorities, such as the Forest Research Institute of Malaysia (FRIM) and the Malaysian Agricultural Research and Development Institute (MARDI), ensure access to high-quality materials. We have also signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with FRIM to promote Malaysia’s exotic timbers through long-term collaboration.

We adhere to strict Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) in wood processing to maximize the natural characteristics and durability of every Shue Guitar.

For our standard models, we use Mamywo (Jelutong), a premium wood, without the premium price tag. Additionally, all standard models feature fretboards made from Malaysian Blackwood or Malaysian Wild Mango wood—highly sought-after by guitar enthusiasts for their distinctive grain patterns and rich, resonant tones.
